SERIES HISTORY/NOTES

Trevecca is 2-1 all-time versus Ferris State and is 3-0 versus Saint Rose.

HOW IT HAPPENED

FERRIS STATE NOTES:

The day's first game was a low-event game, as both teams tallied only four hits each. The Trojans got on the board in the second inning when Sydney McCormick hit a sac fly out to bring Carly Sperlich home from third base. Sperlich got to third on a triple. Then Ferris State got going in the fourth inning as they took a 2-1 lead on a two-RBI single. Ferris State's pitcher and outfield kept the Trojans in check the rest of the way.

SAINT ROSE NOTES:

Game two on the day started as another low-scoring affair, as both teams could score in the third inning. Saint Rose got one run on the board in the third inning. But the Trojans matched them to tie the game up when Kendall Andrews hit a solo home run. Following the scores in the third inning, neither team could capitalize on their hits. That was until the sixth inning when the Trojans got going and took the lead following an Anna Bennett RBI single that brought home Malone Thrift to make it 2-1. Then Kyleigh Burgett scored on a Sarah Nicholson RBI single. Anna Bennett and Sarah Nicholson scored on a Brianna Asmondy two-RBI single to extend the Trojan's lead to 5-1. Then Kendall Andrews rounded out the scoring on a fielder's choice to make it 6-1. Trojan pitchers Brianna Asmondy and Rylee Veron slammed the door shut on Saint Rose.
