SERIES HISTORY/NOTES

The Trojans are 8-5 in the all-time series against Walsh and swept the season series last year. However, Walsh won the last four prior to the Trojans taking the final game of the four-game series.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

GAME ONE:

After a pair of scoreless innings by both teams, Walsh broke through in the third inning to take a 1-0 lead. It proved to be enough for the win. Both teams struggled to capitalize on their hits until the sixth inning when Walsh added a pair of runs to extend their lead to 3-0. Walsh's pitcher and outfield limited the Trojan's chances on their seven hits through seven innings, as the Cavs did not surrender a run during the game.

GAME TWO:

The Trojans got out to an early lead scoring two runs in the first inning. Joey Parliment scored on a Josh Seiler RBI single. Then Josh Griffin reached home on an Andru Becker RBI single.

Walsh responded with a two-run home run in the second inning to tie the game at 2-2. In the bottom of the second, Frankie Carreras responded with a solo home run to give the Trojans the lead, 3-2.

In the third, Carreras hit an RBI single scoring Roland Ryan to make it 4-2 TNU.

Walsh hit another home run in the fourth inning to get within a run at 4-3.

In the fourth, Trevecca scored three more runs. Joey Parliament scored first on a wild pitch. Roland Ryan followed with a double to score Josh Griffith. Andru Becker singled to drive in Ryan for the third run and a 7-3 Trojan lead.

Josh Seiler singled in the seventh, scoring Josh Griffith for the final Trojan tally.
