SERIES HISTORY/NOTES
Trevecca leads the series with Union during the NCAA era 11-2. The Trojans swept the season series last year and have won five in a row in the series.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Trevecca's offense clicked out of the gate as they took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning. Joey Parliment began the scoring when he reached home on a fielder's choice on a Josh Griffin hit. Then Andru Becker scored by fielder's choice on a David Milam RBI single. Union got on the board with a single run in the third inning. That wouldn't deter the Trojans as they added a pair of runs in the fourth to extend their lead to 4-1. Paxton Hughes scored on a Bryant Goolsby RBI single. Then Goolsby scored on sac ground out by Josh Seiler. Trevecca continued momentum into the sixth inning by adding two more runs to make it 6-1 when Josh Griffin and Paxton Hughes scored off an error by Union. In the seventh inning, Union regrouped and began to rally back as they scored four runs to cut the Trojan's lead to 6-5. Trevecca tallied a run in the eighth inning to make it 7-5 as they weathered the Union storm. In the ninth inning, the Trojans put the game out of reach by scoring three more runs to make it 10-5. Josh Griffin scored on a steal and error by Union. Then Cooper Whitt scored on a Brian Lee RBI single before David Milam reached home on a wild pitch.

UP NEXT
On Wednesday, the Trojans will return home to open conference play against Hillsdale College (5-8) for a four-game series starting at 3:00 PM. After taking three out of four games last season, the Trojans tied the series against Hillsdale, 8-8.
