Box Score 2 SMYRNA, Tenn. – Trevecca Nazarene University softball (3-2) hosted the Music City Invitational, where they won against the University of Wisconsin-Parkside (0-1) in their first game of the day 10-1 (five innings). Then won in game two against Missouri S&T (0-2) 9-1 (five innings).

SERIES HISTORY/NOTES
This was the first-ever meeting between the Trojans and Wisconsin-Parkside, with the Trojans now having a 1-0 advantage.
The Trojans have a 4-1 advantage all-time against Missouri S&T, with Missouri S&T claiming last season's meeting 3-2 in the Music City Invitational.
HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE WISCONSIN-PARKSIDE:
The Trojans got rolling early, scoring six runs in the first inning. A Gracie Kirby RBI single brought in Anna Bennett. Then Carly Sperlich hit a two-RBI single to make it 3-0. Gracie Kirby scored on a fielding error by the Rangers, then Sperlich and Nicholson rounded out the scoring. The Rangers got on the board in the bottom of the first to cut it to 6-1. But the Trojans remained in control with three runs in the fourth inning. Sydney McCormick hit an RBI single, then Carly Sperlich hit a two-RBI triple to make it 9-1. The Trojans added another run in the fifth to make it 10-1.
GAME TWO MISSOURI S&T:
The Trojans got out early in the second inning as they roared out to an 8-0 lead. Carly Sperlich scored on a fielder's choice before Sarah Nicholson scored on a bases-loaded walk. Kyleigh Burgett was brought in on an Anna Bennett RBI single. Then Kendall Andrews hit a three RBI triple to make it 6-0. Andrews ran home on a sac ground out by Brianna Asmondy. Maddie Poschke rounded out the second inning by scoring on a Sarah Nicholson RBI single. Trojan pitcher Alex Behnke kept Missouri S&T in check as she allowed only three hits through four innings. Then the Trojans added another run in the fourth to make it 9-0 to put the game away.

- Kendall Andrews went 1-3 with a triple, three RBIs, and one run scored.
- Anna Bennett went 2-3 with an RBI and one run scored.
- Sarah Nicholson went 1-2 with an RBI and one run scored.
- Alex Behnke (1-0) allowed only one run on five hits during five innings pitched while striking out six batters.
