Box Score NASHVILLE - The Trevecca Nazarene University volleyball team (12-15, 8-8 Great Midwest) lost on the road at Cedarville University (12-15, 7-9 Great Midwest) on Thursday at Callan Athletic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED  
The Yellow Jackets opened the first set with a 5-1 lead. Trevecca tied the match 8-8, but CU pulled ahead again. Trevecca tied the match a couple of more times before taking the lead for the first time at 15-14. CU jumped ahead again, 19-16, but Trevecca came roaring back with a 7-1 run for a 23-20 lead and won the set 25-23.
 
Trevecca continued the momentum early in the second set, leading 5-3. Trevecca held a 10-9 lead, but CU rallied to take a 18-13 lead with a 9-3 run. Trevecca climbed back with a 10-3 run for a 23-21 lead. It looked like the Trojans were set to go up 2-0, but the home team rallied back to send the set to extra points and eventually get a 26-24 win and even the match at 1-1.
 
The third set was close throughout. The match was tied 13-13 when TNU flexed to take a 20-14 lead with a 7-1 run. The Trojans finished out the set with a 25-21 win and a 2-1 edge in the match.
 
In the fourth, Trevecca scored the first point, but CU went up 4-1 and didn't led the Trojans back in the set the rest of the way, evening the match 2-2.
 
TNU took a 2-0 lead in fifth and led 4-1. CU tied the match at 5-5 and took their first lead at 7-6. The match was tied 8-8 when CU took a modest lead and held it the rest of the set for the 3-2 match win.

TEAM REPORT
Both teams hit it well, TNU hit .255 while Cedarville hit .247. Cedarville had a 9-7 edge in service aces while both teams had 13 blocks. CU had a .927 to .910 edge in receptions. Wilds added four service aces.  
 
TROJAN PLAYER HIGHLIGHTS
Emma Titus had 21 kills and hit .196. Maddie Wilds had 19 kills and a .333 attack percentage. Wilds and Titus had a double-double with 15 and 10 digs respectively.  

UP NEXT
Trevecca visits Ohio Dominican on Friday (11/3) at 5 PM, and end the three-game road trip at Ashland on Saturday (11/4) at 4 PM. Senior Day is Saturday, Nov. 11 at 1:00 PM in Trojan Fieldhouse.
