NASHVILLE – Trevecca Nazarene University men's basketball coach, Kevin Carroll, announced four new additions to the 2024-2025 recruiting class, signing high school seniors, Fred Bailey (Nashville, TN), Jax Abernathy (Calhoun, GA), Brett Wright (Chattanooga, TN) and Jaden Clark (Nolensville, TN). The four new Trojans will don the Purple and White as freshmen in the Fall of 2024.  
 
FRED BAILEY | 6-2 PG | NASHVILLE, TN

• High School: Pope John Paul II Preparatory School

• Previous Coaches: Charles Wade (HS), Michael Claybrooks (AAU)

Coach Carroll on Bailey: "We are thankful to have a highly-regarded local product, like Fred, joining our program. He is widely regarded as one of the top point guards in the state and is a great fit for how we want to play. From scoring, to distributing, to defending and running the team, Fred can impact the game in a variety of ways. More so, he is an exceptional leader that will bring toughness and grit to our team. He played for former Trevecca player, Charles Wade, and one of the top AAU programs in Tennessee, Team Mookie Betts, and Coach Michael Claybrooks. We are thankful to be keeping him home on the Hill in Nashville!"

Carroll on Abernathy: "Jax may be one of the most highly regarded recruits in Trevecca's history. Rated the #2 shooting guard in the talent-rich state of Georgia, Jax is having an unparalleled high school career. He has the ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor and is regarded as one of the best scorers in the state. His combination of size, versatility, shooting, and ballhandling allows him to make an immediate impact on our team. More so, Jax is a great fit for Trevecca in terms of his character, faith and makeup. Jax comes from a great family and has been mentored by some great coaches in former Trojan Tyler Watkins and Benjamin Miller. We are thrilled to welcome him and his family to the Hill in Nashville!

Coach Carroll on Brett: "Brett may have the biggest upside of any player in our class. At 6-7, his size and versatility will allow him to play almost any position on the floor. Brett is an elite shooter and athlete who turned down Division I offers to attend Trevecca. We feel he will impact our program immediately. His ability to space the floor will create opportunities for everyone on the court. Brett plays for one of the top programs and coaches in the Chattanooga area, in Silverdale and Coach Slater Belew. Most importantly, Brett comes from a family that values Trevecca's Christian beliefs. We are excited to welcome Brett and his family to the Hill in Nashville!"

Carroll on Clark "I've watched Jaden the past several years and have gotten to know him well. Every time I see him, he gets better and we feel he has yet to scratch the surface in terms of what he will become as a college player. He's having a great career at Nolensville, playing for two coaches I respect immensely, in Drew Giudice at Nolensville and Chip Smith with the Tennessee Tigers. More so, Jaden has been raised by a great family that have provided an exceptional foundation for spiritual and character development. All of that makes him an ideal fit for Trevecca and our 'Live Your Legacy' culture. We are thankful Jaden has chosen to stay home here on the Hill in Nashville!"
