Box Score NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University women's soccer team (3-1-1) played its first of 14 Great Midwest Athletic Conference matches on Thursday, defeating Tiffin University (2-2-1) 2-0 at the Trojan Soccer Complex. Delayna Holman had a clean sheet over 90 minutes. It is her 22nd career shutout, which ties the NCAA Era record set by Liz Denton. It is also her 31st career win.
THE SERIES
The Trojans have never lost to the Dragons in six all-time matches. With the win, Trevecca improve to 5-0-1 versus Tiffin since the Dragons joined the Great Midwest in 2018.
THE MATCH
The Trojans piled on the pressure on Tiffin early and often in the first half. The Trojans had 12 shots to the Dragon's two in the first half. The Trojans also had six shots on goal, while the Dragons had none. After piling on shots all half, the Trojans broke through in the 41st minute when Ryann Anderson scored on an Isabel Felger pass to make it 1-0.
The Trojans kept applying the pressure as they compiled 10 of their 22 total shots in the second half. Kelsey Havican put the game away in the 81st minute when she scored on a pass by Makena Schlosser to make it 2-0. The Trojans had 10 shots on goal and had a 5-0 advantage in corner kicks.

Trevecca hits the road next week for a pair of matches against Great Midwest foes Ursuline College (2-1) on Thursday, September 15 at 2:30 p.m. and then Lake Erie College (1-2-1) on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
