Box Score MIDLAND, Mich. – The Trevecca Nazarene University women's soccer team (5-2-2, 3-1-1 Great Midwest) visited conference newcomer Northwood University (4-1-3, 3-0-2 Great Midwest) for the first-ever matchup between the two teams, and tied 0-0 with the Timberwolves on Saturday afternoon.
THE SERIES
The series is now 0-0-1 for the Trojans after the first-ever meeting with the Timberwolves.
THE MATCH
Northwood pressured Trevecca as they took the game's first five shots. However, Trojan goalkeeper Delayna Holman denied Northwood the chance to get on the board. The Trojans got pressure of their own and were more accurate with their shots, tallying six shots and four on goal. Northwood ended up with the advantage in shots with 11 and five on goal. They also had a 5-0 advantage in corner kicks, but Holman kept Northwood at bay.
Northwood kept shooting in the second half, but they kept missing the net as five of their first six shots of the second half missed the net. For the rest of the game, the Trojan's defense kept Northwood's offense in check, and the offense got in a few shots as neither team could solve the other's goalkeeper for a 0-0 draw.

Trevecca will return home next Thursday to face Lake Erie (1-5-1, 0-4-0 Great Midwest) at 4:30 at the Trojan Soccer Complex.
