The Trojans maintained their aggressive style into the second set where they captured a 25-16 win to take a 2-0 lead.

History was made in the third set. With her two service aces, Ellie Buffler moved into second all-time for career service aces in the NCAA era. Buffler finished the night with 119 service aces. Then, later in the set, Buffler collected her 1,000th career kill as the senior finished the match with 12 to lead the team and match. The Trojans were 25-20 winners in the third.
