Box Score 2 NORTH CANTON, Ohio.– No. 12 (NCBWA) Trevecca Nazarene University baseball (35-13, 20-10 Great Midwest) swept its doubleheader against Walsh University (21-18, 12-13 Great Midwest), winning 4-3 in game one and 6-4 in game two (nine innings) while on the road on Friday.
With the two home runs today, the Trojans broke the Great Midwest Athletic Conference single season team home run record with 80 home runs. The mark also surpasses the school single season home run record of 76 which was set in 2002.

The Trojans now have a 5-1 all-time series lead against Walsh with the two wins today. On May 8th, 2019, the two teams last met in a 4-2 Trojan win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE:
The game got off to a slow start, with neither team able to produce any offense. Then the Trojans broke through in the third inning when Jordan Jackson hit a two-run home run, his third of the season, to take the lead. Walsh responded quickly when they tied the game in the bottom of the third inning. Later on, in the fifth inning, the Trojans reclaimed the lead when Jordan Jackson hit an RBI single that brought in Logan West to make it 3-2. In the seventh inning, the Trojans extended their lead when David Milam scored on a sacrifice fly out by Zeke Lecomte to make it 4-2. Walsh looked poised to make a comeback when they cut the deficit to 4-3 on a solo home run, but Trojan pitcher Caleb Bly struck out two out of the three batters in the ninth to secure the Trojan win.
GAME TWO:
Game two had a slow start, with both teams struggling offensively. The stalemate was broken in the fourth inning when the Trojans struck first. Zeke Lecomte hit an RBI single that scored Bryant Goolsby. Then Logan West followed that up with an RBI single of his own which scored Henry Mosley to make it 2-0. However, Walsh would also breakthrough in the fourth inning, as they scored three runs off of homers to take a 3-2 lead over the Trojans. Walsh would add another run in the sixth inning to make it 4-2. Then in the top of the seventh inning, the Trojans tied the game at 4-4 when Roland Ryan hit a two-run home run, his 19th of the season, which also brought in Jordan Jackson and forced extra innings. Neither team could get going in the eighth inning, but the Trojans took the lead in the ninth inning. Shawn Wallwork hit a single and brought in Jordan Jackson to take the lead in extra innings. Then Bryant Goolsby gave the Trojans some insurance with an RBI double that scored Braden Odom to make it 6-4. Walsh tried to extend the game but was unsuccessful.
