Box Score 2 WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Trevecca Nazarene University softball (14-7) split its games on the final day of the PFX Spring Games. In game one, they fell to Seton Hill University (11-2) 5-0. They defeated Nyack College (3-7) 11-0 in five innings in game two.

HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE- Seton Hill University
Seton Hill got off to a strong start, as they jumped out to a 1-0 lead after the first inning. They added four more runs to make it 5-0 in the second inning. The Trojans had four hits through the first four innings but could not get anything going offensively. Anna Bennett collected a single in the sixth inning, but the Trojans could not capitalize. Neither team could get anything going as the score would remain 5-0.
GAME TWO- Nyack College
The Trojans got that bats going in game two, scoring three runs in the first inning. Malone Thrift reached third base by a couple of errors by Nyack College and was brought home on a single by Anna Bennett. Later in the inning, Carly Sperlich hit a two BRI single with two on base, which brought in Anna Bennett and Alyssa Triner. The scoring continued in the third inning when Carly Sperlich hit a double that brought Alyssa Triner again. The Trojans extended their lead to 6-0 in the fourth inning after Kaylee Adams scored on a ground out and Lenna Robinson scored on an error by Nyack College. The Trojans extended their lead even more in the fifth inning. Kaylee Adams hit a single that scored Carly Sperlich and Azaria Jones. Adams then advanced to second on a wild pitch and later stole home for the score. After hitting a single, Lenna Robinson stole second base, third base, and then home. Then Anna Bennett hit another single that brought Malone Thrift in to make it 11-0.

- Hannah Caffey pitched three innings in relief while not allowing a run on two hits and striking out two batters
- Lenna Robinson went 2-3
CIRCLE AND BOX NOTES- Nyack College
- Anna Bennett went 3-4 with three RBIs and one run scored
- Carly Sperlich went 2-2 with three RBIs and a double with one run scored
- Rylee Veron (2-0) pitched all five innings and did not allow a run on three hits while striking out seven batters
UP NEXT
The Trojans play their first home game on campus Saturday, March 19. It is their Great Midwest conference opener versus the Kentucky Wesleyan College Panthers (4-18).
