Box Score 2 NASHVILLE – The nationally ranked No. 8 Trevecca Nazarene University baseball team (6-1) swept Saturday's doubleheader against Lewis University (0-3) 12-8 in game one and 4-1 in the second game at Jackson Field on Saturday.

With the sweep, the Trojans push ahead 6-5 in the all-time against Lewis.
HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE:
Lewis took the early advantage by scoring two runs in the first inning. Trevecca took the game over from that point, scoring 12 straight runs, highlighted by seven runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. The Trojans got on the board following a wild pitch in Jordan Jackson. Then in the third, Jordan Jackson singled to bring home Logan West to tie the game at 2-2. The Trojans took the lead on another wild pitch where Shawn Wallwork stole home. In the sixth inning, the Trojans kept the bases loaded throughout the inning. A batter was walked to bring in a runner on four separate occasions. Braden Odom also scored on a balk. The Trojans ended the sixth inning up 12-2. Lewis attempted to rally with six runs in the last three innings, but a single run was all they could manage in the ninth.
GAME TWO:
Despite allowing the Flyers to score in the top of the first again, Alex Clouthier closed the door after that. Clouthier tossed a complete game using 120 pitches to retire the Flyers in order in four of the nine frames today. The Trojans won the game in the fourth after a four-run was complete following a Roland Ryan double to left field.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE – GAME ONE
Jordan Jackson went 3-5 with two runs scored and three RBIs.
Justin Campbell (1-1) was credited with the win; he pitched five innings while allowing only four hits two runs, and had three strikeouts
The Trojans scored 12 runs on 11 hits.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE – GAME TWO
Jordan Jackson continued to see the ball well, going 3-3 with an RBI and a walk.
Roland Ryan was also a perfect 3-3 at the plate with an RBI and a walk.
Alex Clouthier (2-0) picked up his second win of the season by tossing a complete game, five-hitter. Clouthier struck out four, and the only run allowed was unearned.
UP NEXT
The Trojans host Truman State University (3-1) for two doubleheaders, the first on February 25th starting at 2:00 PM, and the second doubleheader on February 26th starting at 12:00 PM.
