Box Score NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University women's soccer team (7-3-3, 5-2-2 Great Midwest) hosted Ohio Dominican University (3-6-4, 3-4-3 Great Midwest) and won 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.
THE SERIES
The Trojans are now 5-3-2 versus Ohio Dominican. Last season, the Trojans won the previous meeting in penalty kicks in the Great Midwest Quarterfinals on November 6th at Trojan Soccer Complex.
THE MATCH
The Trojan's offense stormed out of the gate and put pressure on the Panther's goalkeeper as they had eight shots and four on goal to the Panther's two shots and one on goal in the first half. But Ohio Dominican goalkeeper Jadelyn McNerney held firm to keep the game scoreless. Then Annie Warner broke through for the Trojans in the 39th minute to give the Trojans the 1-0 lead.
The Panthers were hemmed in their defensive zone for much of the second half. During that time, the Trojans piled on shots. Annie Warner scored her second goal of the game in the 72nd minute on a pass by Isabel Felger to make it 2-0 Trojans. The Trojans outshot Ohio Dominican 16-6 and had a 7-2 advantage in shots on goal.

Trevecca will go on the road to face Walsh University (5-5-2, 3-4-2 Great Midwest) on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. and then Malone University (1-6-3, 0-5-3 Great Midwest) on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.
