Box Score ASHLAND, Ohio– The Trevecca Nazarene University women's soccer team (6-3-2, 4-2-1 Great Midwest) went on the road to face Ashland University (8-3, 6-1 Great Midwest) and fell 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.
THE SERIES
The Eagle's edge in the series is now 3-0-1. Ashland won the last meeting, which was in the Great Midwest semifinals last season.
THE MATCH
Ashland opened the game on the attack as they peppered Delayna Holman with the game's first six shots. The Trojan goalkeeper held firm and kept the game scoreless. The Trojan defense also chipped in as they had six blocked shots in the first half. But despite being outshot 10-3 at halftime, the score was knotted up at 0-0. Both teams also only had one shot on goal at the half. However, Ashland had a 4-0 advantage in corner kicks.
Ashland struck eight minutes into the second half to take a 1-0 lead. The Trojans had a few counterattack shots, but Ashland kept applying pressure. Ashland added to their lead in the 62nd minute to go up 2-0. The Eagles later put the game away in the 72nd minute when they scored their third goal.

Trevecca will return to the Hill for a match against Walsh (5-4-1, 3-3-1 Great Midwest) on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. then they will host Ohio Dominican (2-5-3, 2-3-2 Great Midwest) on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
