Box Score ASHLAND, Ohio– The Trevecca Nazarene University men's soccer team (3-7, 1-6 Great Midwest) went on the road to face Ashland University (6-3-1, 5-2 Great Midwest) and fell 3-1 on Saturday afternoon.
THE SERIES
The Eagles now have the series lead at 2-1. The Trojans won the previous encounter on October 28th, 2021, at Ashland by the score of 2-1.
THE MATCH
Early in the match, neither team could break the stalemate, and shots were few. Ashland broke the ice in the 23rd minute on the fourth shot of the game. They doubled their lead in the 32nd minute before the Trojans cut the deficit to 2-1 just 42 seconds later. Jonas Grossmann picked up a rebound from a Cillian Farmer shot and put it in the back of the net. As halftime drew near, the Eagles regained their two-goal lead in the 39th minute to make it 3-1.
The second half was a defensive battle with neither team able to tally any more goals.

Trevecca will return to the Hill for a match against Walsh (7-2-2, 4-2-1 Great Midwest) on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. Then they will host Ohio Dominican (3-3-3, 3-1-2 Great Midwest) on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.
