Trevecca Men’s Soccer | Trojans’ Chris Douglas Earns Sixth TSWA Weekly Honor

NASHVILLE – Trevecca Nazarene University junior forward Chris Douglas earned the Tennessee Sports Writers Association Men's Soccer Player of the Week award Tuesday, Nov. 3, following his two-goal performance in the Trojans' 3-1 Gulf South Conference Championship quarterfinal victory over Mississippi Christian. It is his sixth TSWA selection of 2026 and the final men's soccer weekly award of the season.

Douglas scored twice in the second half Saturday, Oct. 31, as top-seeded Trevecca advanced to the GSC semifinals for the first time. His first goal, in the 57th minute, gave the Trojans a 2-0 lead. After Mississippi Christian cut the margin to one, Douglas finished a pass from Ciaran Bellis in the 76th minute to restore the two-goal advantage.

The junior from St. Johns, Antigua, and The Webb School finished with two goals on four shots, placing three on target. He has scored in four consecutive matches, totaling eight goals and an assist during that stretch. The quarterfinal victory raised Trevecca's record to a program-best 13-1-2.
