THE SERIES
After seven matches all-time, the Trojans pulled within a game versus the Cavaliers. Walsh leads the series 4-3, but TNU now has its first two-match win streak vs the Cavs. Trevecca won 2-1 last year in North Canton.
THE MATCH
Looking to close the weekend with six points, the Trojans faced a stiffer challenge when the Cavaliers from Walsh visited. Things started off for Trevecca who received a 7th-minute goal from Abbigall Legg, her third of the season. Legg's goal was assisted by Katelyn Keogh. For the fourth time in as many matches, the Trojans enjoyed at least a goal advantage at halftime. Despite both teams registering four shots each, at the break, the Trojans had the goal. The final 45 minutes were highlighted by four goals. First, the Cavaliers equalized in the 59th minute and then took the first lead four minutes later. The goal advantage wouldn't last long, however as the Trojans responded in the 67th minute when Makena Schlosser collected her first goal of the campaign. Schlosser was serviced by Lexie Wilson for her first goal and then Abbigall Legg sent a ball into the box for Schlosser who gave the Trojans a 3-2 lead in the 78th minute. The Trojans' defense held for the closing minutes and now sit atop the Great Midwest Athletic Conference table with 12 points.
