THE SERIES

The Trojans picked up their 10th victory over the Panthers tonight and now lead the all-time series 10-1-3.

THE MATCH

After earning four points in four non-conference matches to begin the campaign, the Trojans' journey for their first Great Midwest Athletic Conference victory was in hand tonight. Just two minutes into the match, Kelsey Havican beat Panther keeper Reegan Garrity for the early advantage. Havican's goal was assisted by Tracy Roy. Trevecca enjoyed a lead for much of the first half until an untimely foul allowed Kentucky Wesleyan a free-kick from 25 yards. Chloe Hinchcliffe leveled the match at a goal apiece when she took the free-kick over the Trojan wall and inside the near post past Delayna Holman in the 38th minute. Momentum wouldn't shift, however, as the Trojans equalized just two minutes later. Ryann Anderson connected for an unassisted goal in the 40th minute to give the Trojans back their goal advantage. Anderson's goal was the first of her collegiate career. The second half saw the Trojans nearly match their first-half opportunities, putting 15 shots up. Despite a few chances, the Trojans nor the Panthers could breakthrough in the final 45 minutes as the Trojans picked up their first conference points of the season.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

  • Ryann Anderson collected her first collegiate goal in the win.
  • The Trojans composed a season-high in both total shots (32) and shots on goal (14).
  • Three yellow cards were shown tonight, all credited to the Panthers.

WHAT'S NEXT

Trevecca closes out the week by welcoming Tiffin University (0-4, 0-1 Great Midwest) to the Trojan Soccer Complex on Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Trojans have won all three meetings with the Dragons since Tiffin joined the G-MAC beginning with the 2018-19 season. In fact, Trevecca has outscored Tiffin 9-1 in those three matches, with Makena Schlosser registering a goal in all three contests.
