Box Score HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - After a one-month layoff, the Trevecca Nazarene University volleyball team (5-7) hit the road to the University of Alabama Huntsville Chargers (6-2) and fell in four sets, with a narrow 25-22 defeat in the final set. With the COVID-19 adjustments moving the volleyball season to the spring semester, coach Moore took advantage of the extended season to gain experience for the 2021 fall season.
The Trojans won the opening set but surrendered three unanswered wins by UAH to fall in the nonconference matchup.

THE SERIES
It was the 21st meeting between the Trojans and Chargers, and UAH's series lead improved to 18-3.
THE MATCH
Trevecca took the first set of the match with a narrow margin, outkilling the Chargers by four to win 26-24. Alabama Huntsville settled into the second set, and surged past the Trojans for a 25-17 win to even things up at 1-1.
Trevecca's hitting percentage bested UAH in the third set but dropped the result 25-21 to trail 2-1. The Chargers took the match with a tight finish in the fourth and final set, winning 25-22.
TOP PLAYERS
Ellie Buffler led the way for the Trojans in kills with 17, hitting at a .103 rate. Austyn Baldwyn had the best hit percentage of the night for either team at .409, with 11 kills. Claire Hindman had 19 digs.
Akasia Patterson tied a career-high in kills with nine, on a .222 percentage. Patterson had 10.5 points.
THE TEAM
UAH had 50 kills to Trevecca's 48, and 73 digs to the Trojans' 70. The Chargers' hit at a .144 clip against Trevecca's .125 and completed four more service aces than the Trojans.
WHAT'S NEXT
Trevecca will have one more match to play in the 2021 spring campaign. The Trojans will come back to Tennessee and travel to Sewanee on April 16.
