Box Score 2 PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Trevecca Nazarene University softball team (22-10, 14-4 Great Midwest) swept both ends of a Great Midwest Athletic Conference doubleheader at Lake Erie College (10-31, 5-15 Great Midwest) Friday afternoon, 4-0 and 8-3, AT Kiwanis Park. The Trojans remain second overall in the conference standings.

SERIES HISTORY
Trevecca is 7-0 all-time versus the Lake Erie Storm.
GAME 1
Neither team found a way to cross home plate until the Trojans scored four in the fifth inning. Matti Byrd singled to open the fifth and Megan Walker came on to pinch run. MaKray Odom and Lenna Robinson hit back-to-back singles before Megan Walker scored on an error by the LEC error. Brooke Eakes followed with a double, scoring Odom. After a double play left just Eakes on base, Alyssa Trinder singled to drive in Eakes. Triner also scored for a 4-0 Trojan lead.
GAME 2
Trevecca scored two in the top of the first and after LEC scored one in the second, Trevecca pushed across three in the third. Carly Sperlich doubled in the first, driving in MaKray Odom, and Alyssa Triner drove in Lenna Robinson on a sac fly. In the third, Sperlich hit a three-run bomb – scoring Robinson and Odom. A two-run fourth by the Storm cut the Trojan lead to two at 5-3. The Trojans gained separation with two in the fifth and one in the seventh. Sperlich reached an error in the fifth scoring Robinson again. Malone Thrift singled to score Sperlich. In the seventh, Sperlich hit her second home run, a solo shot.
CIRCLE AND BOX NOTES
GAME 1
Raygn Hall (11-7) pitched a complete game shutout while allowing just two hits and sitting down three on strikes. MaKray Odom, Lenna Robinson, Brooke Eakes, and Alyssa Triner all pitched in two hits. Eakes and Megan Groves both produced a double.
GAME 2
MaKray Odom and Carly Sperlich each produced three hits and Sperlich added three runs scored and six RBI. Anna Bennett also doubled. Odom and Lenna Robinson each picked up another stolen base. Hannah Caffey (4-2) started and picked up the win. Alex Behnke picked up a save with three innings of perfect pitching in the circle.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Trojans close out the regular season with a pair of road games at Ursuline College (8-22, 8-10 Great Midwest) on Saturday at Noon.
The Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championships are set for May 6-8 at the University of Findlay.
