Box Score 2 NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University softball team (19-9, 11-3 Great Midwest) swept Ohio Dominican University (21-14, 11-7 Great Midwest) Monday afternoon, 3-2 and 6-2, to remain in second place in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference standings.

SERIES HISTORY
Trevecca is 21-12 all-time versus the Panthers. The Trojans have won six consecutive games in the series. The teams had not met since 2019.
GAME 1
Trevecca took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning when Lenna Robinson reached on a fielder's choice. A throwing error allowed MaKray Odom to score. Ohio Dominican got on the board in the fifth with a solo homer, tying the game at 1-1.
The Trojans regained the lead in the bottom of the inning when Carly Sperlich singled to center field with the bases loaded, plating Kelsey Seitz. The Panthers tied the contest with a two-out single in the top of the seventh.
TNU loaded the bases in the bottom of the seventh and with two outs, Anna Bennet pulled a pitch. She beat the throw from the second baseman for an infield hit as Odom scored the game-winning run.
GAME 2
Trevecca broke the game open with a five-run third inning. With the bases loaded, Odom recorded an infield single, plating Alyssa Triner and Matti Byrd. Robinson followed it up with a base knock to center field, scoring Abbie Page. Three batters later, Malone Thrift singled to left field, allowing Odom to cross home plate. Megan Groves lifted a sacrifice fly that scored Robinson.
With two on and two out in the sixth, Odom scored on a wild pitch to make it 6-0.
The Panthers scored two runs in the seventh, but TNU closed out the game in fine fashion for the 6-2 win.
CIRCLE AND BOX NOTES
GAME 1
Robinson led the way with two hits in the contest. Bennett, Byrd, Brooke Eakes, Odom, Seitz and Sperlich had one hit each. Bennett and Sperlich had one RBI apiece while Odom scored twice and Seitz crossed home plate once. Raygn Hall (9-7) threw a complete game en route to earning the victory. She struck out two batters and did not walk any while throwing 93 total pitches.
GAME 2
Odom posted a team-best two hits while driving in one. Byrd, Eakes, Groves, Page, Robinson, Sperlich, Thrift and Triner all had a hit – and Triner's was the lone extra-base hit. Grove, Odom, Robinson and Thrift each drove in one while Odom scored twice. Byrd, Page, Robinson and Triner crossed home once apiece. In the circle, Alex Behnke (9-1) worked six innings, striking out six. She gave up two runs on three hits on 79 pitches. Hannah Caffey worked the final inning, striking out one. She gave up one hit and neither pitcher walked a batter.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Trojans close out the regular season slate with road games at Kentucky Wesleyan (11-20, 4-10 Great Midwest / April 27) and Lake Erie College (9-28, 4-12 Great Midwest / April 30) and Ursuline College (7-19, 7-7 / Great Midwest / May 1).
The Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championships are set for May 6-8.
