THE SERIES
Trevecca and Cedarville are two of the founding members of the Great Midwest, battling in that first season in 2012 for the first time. Trevecca leads the series 7-6-3. The Yellow Jackets have a 5-3-2 edge in the last 10 meetings.
THE MATCH
Cedarville struck first, putting a ball in the back of the nets in the 12th minute. Trevecca score the next two and led 2-0. Makena Schlosser scored the first in the 35th minute with an assist from Danyel Joy. Abbigail Legg scored the go-ahead goal in the 48th minute with an assist from Annie Warner.
The Yellow Jackets leveled the match 2-2 with a Hannah Sareyka goal in the 52nd minute. The game-winner came from Maddy Nelson in the 66th minute.
DETAILS
The Yellow Jackets took 13 shots to Trevecca's eight. Trevecca put six shots on goal while Cedarville had five shots on goal. Jocelyn Gross produced four saves while Trevecca's keeper Delayna Holman saved two.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Trojans host Ohio Dominican University (3-0-1, 3-0-1 Great Midwest) Saturday (April 3) before heading to play at Lake Erie College (0-6, 0-6 Great Midwest).
The final two regular-season matches are April 10 at Walsh University (4-1, 4-1 Great Midwest) and April 15 when Ohio Valley University (2-2-1, 2-2-1 Great Midwest) comes to visit Music City.
The Great Midwest Championships begin April 24.
