Box Score 2 EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Trevecca Nazarene University softball team (8-6) is on a seven-game win streak after winning a pair of games at the 2021 Midwest Region Crossover, hosted by the University of Southern Indiana, on Saturday. The Trojans defeated Davenport University (3-5), 4-3, and No. 21 Grand Valley State University (5-2), 4-3 at Deaconess Sports Park. Trevecca defeated No. 21 Grand Valley twice over the weekend.

HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME 1: #Davenport
- Davenport scored two in the bottom of the first, but Trevecca scored three straight runs, two in the fourth and one in the sixth, for a 3-2 lead. Abbie Page and MaKray Odom hit back-to-back doubles in the fourth, driving in a pair of runs. Lenna Robinson doubled in the sixth.
- Davenport tied the game with a run in the sixth, but TNU earned the win with a run in the top of the eighth. Malone Thrift scored the game-winner on a wild pitch.
GAME 2: #21 Grand Valley State
- Carly Sperlich singled in the first to score Lenna Robinson. The 1-0 lead held until MaKray Odom homered to left-center for a 2-0 Trojan lead.
- GVSU scored two straight, sending the game to extra frames, then scored a run in the top of the eighth for a 3-2 lead.
- In the bottom of the eighth, Abbie Page evened the score with a double to center coring Brooke Eakes. Kelsey Seitz provided the game-winning hit, a single that scored Abbie Page.
CIRCLE AND BOX NOTES
GAME 1: #Davenport
- Lenna Robinson was 3-4 at the plate with a double, an RBI, and a stolen base.
- The Trojans out-hit Davenport 7-4. Davenport committed three errors while the Trojans produced a clean sheet.
- Alex Behnke (3-1) pitched a complete-game four-hitter for the win. Behnke struck out three and allowed just four hits and one hit-by-pitch.
GAME 2: #21 Grand Valley State
- Raygn Hall (4-4) pitched another complete game, allowing two earned run while striking out five.
- MaKray Odom went 3-4 at the plate with a home run, an RBI, a run scored, a double, and a stolen base.
WHAT'S NEXT
Trevecca is scheduled to play again on March 26 at Malone University and March 27 at Walsh University. The Purple and White play at Christian Brothers University March 31. The team returns to play on the Hill April 3 hosting Ohio Valley University.
