Box Score CHATTANOOGA – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's soccer team (1-0, 0-0 Great Midwest) put on their kits for the first time in 462 days, playing Covenant College (0-1) at David Stanton Field on the campus of Chattanooga Christian School on Tuesday.
The match was moved from the beautiful Scotland Yard on the Covenant campus on Lookout Mountain due to field conditions from recent winter weather.
The last match for the Trojans dates back to November 5, 2019 against Great Midwest Athletic Conference rival Kentucky Wesleyan College, a 4-3 win. That's 462 days between games and wins.

THE SERIES
This is the fifth all-time meeting; the Trojans and Scots are now even in the all-time series 2-2-1. Trevecca defeated the Scots, 2-0, in the last meeting in 2012 and the teams tied 0-0 in the 2011 meeting. The Scots won the first-ever meeting in 1991, 2-0 in OT. The second meeting, a 4-0 Covenant win, didn't happen until 2003 after Trevecca restarted soccer.
THE MATCH
Covenant opened the scoring at 3:49 with a goal from Mercer Stout, assisted by Nathan Laughlin. The Scot advantage lasted until Yared Ambaw found the back of the nets at 59:27 on an assist from Carlos Bravo. As time became in short supply, the Trojans pushed ahead on an unassisted goal from Yared Ambaw at 84:10.

Tyler Delgado returned to goal for the first time in two years, saving six shots on goal for the win.
