Box Score 2 HUNTSVILLE – Tenth-ranked Trevecca Nazarene University softball (0-4) fell in their final two games at the 2021 Charger Chillout. The preseason Great Midwest pick fell 15-5 to No. 6 Young Harris College (4-0) in the opener and 8-0 to Harding University (6-0) in the afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME 1: No. 6 Young Harris College:
- Young Harris scored two in the first on a pair of RBI-singles.
- Ana Bennett singled in the Trojan half of the first, driving in Lenna Robinson for a 2-1 YHC lead.
- YHC added three in the second on a fielder's choice and two more RBI-singles, pushing their lead to four at 5-1.
- Trevecca responded with four runs, tying the game 5-5 through two innings. MaKray Odom, Brooke Eakes, and Anna Bennett drove in runs. Odom drove in two with an RBI-double.
- Young Harris scored 10 unanswered with three in the third, two in the fourth. And five in the fifth to force the run-rule into play. YHC used five RBI-singles and two solo home runs to fuel the 10-0 run.
GAME 2: Harding University:
- Undefeated, 6-0, Harding University, scored three in the first on a bases-loaded double and that proved to be enough.
- The Bison added a run in the fourth on a Trojan error and one in the sixth on a double.
- In the seventh, the Bison scored three with the help of a two-run homer and another with the help of a Trojan error.
CIRCLE AND BOX NOTES
GAME 1: No. 6 Young Harris College:
- YHC had 16 hits, but TNU helped with four miscues in the field.
- MaKray Odom went 3-3 at the plate with a run scored, a stolen base, a double, and two RBI.
- Raygn Hall took the loss while Jill Dixon picked up the win for YHC. Dixon shut out the Trojans in her 3.2 innings of relief work.
GAME 2: Harding University:
- Lily Tanski improved to 2-0 in the circle with the win. Alex Behnke was the pitcher of record in the loss for the Trojans.
- Brooke Eakes stood alone as the lone Trojan with a multi-hit game, going 2-3.
WHAT'S NEXT
Next weekend (February 12-13), Trevecca is scheduled to play in the Blue Bridge Classic in Owensboro, Ky. The home schedule begins on March 3 when Union University visits.
