Box Score Nashville, TN - The Trevecca Nazarene University volleyball team (3-5, 3-5 Great Midwest Conference) continued its hot play of late Friday night, sweeping the Lake Erie College Storm (1-7, 1-7) with set scores of 25-13, 25-14, and 25-20 in a match at Trojan Fieldhouse. The win is Trevecca's second straight and third in its last four matches as the Trojans head down the stretch of their regular season before Great Midwest Conference Tournament play.

THE SERIES
Friday night's win is Trevecca's first in four all-time meetings with Lake Erie, which now holds a 3-1 lead in the series
THE MATCH
Trevecca started the match hot, building a 13-3 lead in the opening set and never letting Lake Erie score more than two straight points the rest of the way en route to a 25-13 win in Set 1.
The second set started much the same way, as the Trojans raced out to a 10-3 lead and again the Storm never threatened - getting no closer than five points for the remainder of the set - as Trevecca cruised to a 25-14 victory.
Lake Erie showed signs of life in the final set, leading 3-1 early and battling on fairly even terms with the Trojans throughout Set 3. With the score tied at 17, Trevecca ran off four straight points to take control and stretched its run to 7-1 to open up a 24-18 lead before taking the final set, 25-20, to earn the conference win,
TOP PLAYERS
Ellie Buffler led Trevecca with 11 kills and hit .259 on 27 attacks, adding seven digs as well for the Trojans. Austyn Baldwin added seven kills with a .333 attack percentage on 15 swings with four blocks and three digs and the trio of Lydia Yonce, Emma Green and Sami Raley had five kills apiece for Trevecca. Chloee McDaniel had a double-double for the Trojans, handing out 28 assists and adding 11 digs (with two kills), and Katie Crutchfield pitched in nine digs in the victory.
Kariema Rodriguez paced Lake Erie with seven kills and 13 digs. Three players (Jordan Taylor, Julianna Krebasch and Peyton Lemmer) finished with three kills each, Dora Olah had 15 assists as well for the Storm.
THE TEAM
Trevecca hit .270 for the match with 37 kills (versus 13 errors) on 89 swings while forcing Lake Erie to finish with more errors (21) than kills (20) on its 84 attacks for a - 0.012 attack percentage. The Trojans also had six aces (to Lake Erie's two), finished with 37 digs to the Storm's 31 and outblocked Lake Erie, 8-4, for the match.
WHAT'S NEXT
Trevecca will have a quick turnaround and remain at home, hosting the Ursuline College Arrows in another conference match on Saturday. First serve at Trojan Fieldhouse is set for 11 a.m.
