Box Score 2 OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Trevecca Nazarene University softball team (1-5) played two games at the Blue Bridge Classic hosted by Kentucky Wesleyan College on Friday. The Trojans lost the opener 4-2 to Northwood University (11-7) before earning the first win of the season in an 11-0 (5 inning) decision over Quincy University (1-5).

HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME 1: Northwood
· The Trojans took advantage of an error with the bases loaded to score the first run of the game in the third.
· Northwood knotted the game with an RBI single in the fourth, but Malone Thrift's RBI double gave TNU the lead again in the fifth, 2-1.
· Three runs in the bottom of the fifth for Northwood decided the game, Northwood benefited from Trevecca errors to get the win.
GAME 2: Quincy
· The Purple and White scored early and often in the second game, plating three in the first, six in the third, and two in the fourth for the run-rule margin.
· Quincy was limited to just four baserunners in the contest.
CIRCLE AND BOX NOTES
GAME 1: Northwood
· MaKray Odom went 2-for-4 with a run scored to lead TNU at the plate, with Thrift's double standing as the lone extra-base hit for the Trojans.
· Raygn Hall (0-4) allowed just five hits and three earned runs in the loss.
GAME 2: Quincy
· Brooke Eakes went 3-for-3 and was just a homer shy of the cycle as she drove in two runs and scored three times. Lenna Robinson and Carly Sperlich each scored twice as well.
· Alex Behnke (1-1) pitched the complete game, going five innings in the circle, striking out four with just three hits allowed.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Trojans will stay in Owensboro for another pair of games on Saturday, against the University of Indianapolis and Ferris State.
Trevecca will return home on March 3 for a double header against Union, before beginning Great Midwest play on March 26 against Malone.
