THE SERIES

The Trojans' three-game winning streak versus Ursuline was snapped, but Trevecca still owns a 9-6 advantage after 15 all-time matchups.

MATCH DETAILS

Trevecca secured the opening point and would never trail in set one although the set was tied on multiple occasions. The Trojans led by as many as six points when a 4-0 run made it a 14-8 game. The Arrows would not back down, though, nearly extending the set when a Jami Turey kill made it a 23-23 game. Altogether, the Trojans hit .289 with 25 kills and three assists to win the opener, 25-23 when Sami Raley smashed home the final point.

SET TWO

The Trojans opened the second set with the first point, but could not build off the set one momentum. The Trojans saw their advantage grow to as many as six once again, with a 4-0 run pushing them ahead once again, 14-8. However, the Arrows kept firing. A 6-0 run from Ursuline tied the match at 15-15 and caused the first timeout. The Arrows collected their first lead of the match out of the timeout and used an extended 15-5 run to close off the Trojans, 25-20. Trevecca added just four kills in the second and was hitting .231 collectively heading into set three.

SET THREE

In the third, it was the Arrows who set the tone early securing the first point and opening a 5-2 lead to start things off. The Trojans pulled within one after an attack error made it a 7-6 game, and 6-0 Maddie Wilds led run made it, 18-17, but in the end, the Arrows finished off the set, 25-22.

SET FOUR

Ursuline jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the fourth set and really did not look back. The Arrows used a match-high 15 kills to pull the plug on the match in the fourth winning the set, 25-19 and the match.

TOP PLAYERS

Ellie Buffler collected another double-double with 17 kills and 16 digs. She had a team-high 19 points.

Devin Gerth hit a match-best .383 and had 23 kills to go with 16 digs for the Arrows.

THE TEAMS

Both squads were nearly identical down the line. The Trojans led 163-162 in total attacks, both sides had 43 assists, Trevecca had one more dig, 75-74. The difference, though, the Trojans had a combined 14 additional service/reception errors committed.
