THE SERIES
The series is now tied 4-4, and TNU now has its first three-match win streak against the Cavs. The Trojans won earlier this season in Nashville 3-2.
THE MATCH
After a tough loss on Thursday to Ashland, the Trojans gained momentum and secured a postseason spot with a road win at the always tough Walsh University. The first half was back and forth as both squads earned chances, but neither team break the ice.
The Trojans were the first to score at 71:22 in the second half. Katelyn Keogh scored on an assist from Danyel Joy. Walsh responded quickly, finding room to push one past the Trojan defense at 72:26. Just over seven minutes later, the Trojans gained the upper hand on a Gigi Ariola goal at 79:53. Katelyn Keogh figured in both Trojan scores, assisting on the Ariola tally. The Trojan defense made sure the goal stood as the game-winner, shutting out the Cavs the final ten minutes.
