NFCA All-American MaKray Odom then singled Bundy over to third and when Odom stole second the Trojans had two in scoring position. Lenna Robinson reached on a fielder's choice allowing Bundy to score then a fielding error allowed MaKray Odom to score. When Sidney Brake singled through the left side, Robinson scored putting the Trojans up 3-0. Brake singled again in the fifth and plated Robinson who led the frame off with a walk. The game was opened up in the sixth inning when the Trojans turned a 4-0 lead into a nine-run advantage. The first four Trojans to approach the plate singled in sixth. WHAT'S NEXT
Trevecca travels to Georgia to play in the No. 5 Young Harris College (9-0) Mountain Lions invitational. The four games will be played at E.D. Rivers Field. The first two games against #5 Young Harris on Friday (02.21) and two against Columbus State University (5-5) Cougars on Saturday (02.22).
Trevecca faced Young Harris once, all the way back in 2011 when the Mountain Lions topped the Trojans 3-0. Though Union and Trevecca were longtime rivals in the NAIA and co-members of the TranSouth conference, they have only met eight times in the NCAA era with Union holding a 5-3 edge. Trevecca claimed three of the first four meetings, but the Bulldogs own a four-game win streak in the series.
Trevecca's next home games are on Wednesday, February 26th when Union University (6-4) visits for a pair of games beginning at 2 PM.
