Box Score NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's basketball team (1-16, 1-7 Great Midwest) lost, 69-51, to Ohio Valley University (4-12, 1-6 Great Midwest) in Trojan Fieldhouse on Saturday.

Despite the loss today, the Trojans lead the all-time series with the Fighting Scots 10-3.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Fighting Scots offense opened the game on a 9-2 run to set the tone. The Trojans countered with a Chris Rogers 3-pointer to cut the deficit to four, 14-10, with 14:47 left in the half, but that's the closest the Trojans would pull the rest of the game. The Scots led 44-29 at the halftime break. The Trojans opened the second half on a 7-0 run to close the deficit to just eight, 44-36. From there the Scots managed to bury the Trojans with an 11-0 run of their own to push out to a 53-36 advantage. The Scots held on for the 69-51 win.
PLAYER STATS REPORT
Reed Smith produced a team-high 14 points to lead the Trojans. Chris Rogers also reached double figures with 10 points, two rebounds, two steals, and two assists. Justin Headrick had eight points and four rebounds off the bench.
TEAM STATS BREAKDOWN
Trojans shot 28.3% (15-53) from the field and 25.0% (7-28) from three-point range … Trevecca was 14-20 (70%) shooters from the foul line and won the rebounding battle 33-31. Both teams produced 10 assists, while the Trojans produced one more steal, 5-4 than the Scots.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Trojans hit the road next week to face off against the University of Findlay (10-5, 5-2 Great Midwest) on Thursday, January 16 at 6:00 PM.
A week from today, the Trojans are visitors to Hillsdale College (9-6, 5-1 Great Midwest) at 2:00 PM on January 18.
The Trojans have never beaten the Findlay Oilers in six previous tries and are on the search for their first victory over the Hillsdale Chargers in the fifth all-time meeting.
