Tied at 3-3, the Trojans earned the early advantage capitalizing off three Panther errors and a kill from Madison Martin (SO/Martinsville, IN) to take a 7-3 lead … four consecutive points came from Ellie Buffler (FR/Nashville, TN)'s service when she recorded a kill, forced two service errors and a received a kill from Lydia Yonce (SO/Nashville, TN) … the Trojans won the opening set 25-16 … the second set remained tight the entire way … the Panthers managed three straight points after being tied at 19-19 and took the second set25-21 … the third set belonged to Kentucky Wesleyan from the start as they secured the first three points … the Trojans climbed to within two (12-10) when Ellie Buffler recorded a kill … Kentucky Wesleyan won the third set 25-17 … the Panthers again flexed an early set advantage in the fourth owning an 8-3 lead … trailing 22-13, the Trojans managed to pull back within five points (22-17) when Ellie Buffler had three kills and Kentucky Wesleyan had an attack error .. the Panthers held on to claim the final set 25-23.
