THE SERIES
The two squads played for the first time in 18 years last season. The first ever meeting was in 2000 when the Trojans lost 12-0. Last season renewed the regional rivalry with the Flames in which Lee defeated Trevecca 3-1 in Cleveland. The all-time series favors Lee 3-1.

THE MATCH
The Flames opened the match with a shot on goal in the opening minute … the Trojan defense kept the nationally ranked Lee scoreless for the matches first 30 minutes … the Flames took a 1-0 lead into halftime when Avery Engels scored off a corner kick at 32:07… the Trojans formation shifted in the second half to get chances on the offense end … the Trojans collected two shots in the final 45 minutes … at 71:01 Lauren Weimer connected on the first of her two goals to put the Flames up 2-0 … Weimer later scored again at 81:40 to put the match out of reach … Lee tallied 10 second half shots to win 3-0.

WHAT THE RESULT MEANS
*The loss keeps the Trojans amongst the winless in the G-MAC alongside Tiffin who has also not claimed victory in each of its first four matches.

The Trojans head to Ashland, Ohio to challenge the Ashland University Eagles (3-1-0) at 12:00 PM on Thursday, September 19 at Ferguson Field.
