Trevecca and McKendree played their first ever fixture last season when the Bearcats defeated the Trojans by the same 1-0 margin at the Trojan Soccer Complex. MU now leads the all-time series 2-0-0.

The Bearcats offense came prepared managing two shots in the game's first minute … Delayna Holman (SO/Shepherdsville, KY)'s first save of the match came at 2:34 … Sydnee Carroll scored the lone goal for McKendree at 4:10 … the Trojans collected two shots in the first half, trailing 1-0 after the first 45 minutes … both the Bearcats and Trojans produced three shots in the second half … McKendree won the match 1-0.

Despite an early goal allowed, Trevecca keeper, Delayna Holman stopped five of the six shots she faced today.

WHAT THE RESULT MEANS
*The loss moves Trevecca down to ninth in the G-MAC table ahead of Cedarville and Tiffin University which are two squads still looking for their first points of the season.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Trojans return to Nashville for their home opener on Monday, September 16 to host #6 Lee University (1-1-0) at 7 PM.Â

The two squads played for the first time in 18 years last year. The first ever meeting was in 2000 when the Trojans lost 12-0. Last season renewed the regional rivalry with the Flames in which Lee defeated Trevecca 3-1 in Cleveland.Â
