COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Trevecca Nazarene University women's soccer team (6-9-2, 6-6 Great Midwest) defeated Ohio Dominican University (10-6, 8-4 Great Midwest), 1-0, on Saturday at Panther Stadium.

THE SERIES

The Trojans regained the edge in the all-time series with the 1-0 victory. Both teams won on the other's home pitch as the Panthers received the same 1-0 result in Nashville on Sept. 28. The Trojans lead 3-2 all-time.

 

THE MATCH

The Trojans and Panthers played to a 0-0 draw after the first 45 minutes. The difference occurred just over six minutes into the half when Johnna Raby struck for the game's only goal. The goal at 51:04 was Raby's first goal of the season. Goalkeeper Delayna Holman was tested with nine Ohio Dominican shots, only one was on goal. Holman earned her fifth clean sheet of the season.

The Trojans secured their place in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference tournament with tonight's result.

 

Delayna Holman saved the only shot she faced on goal earning her fifth clean sheet of the season.

   

WHAT'S NEXT 

The Trojans close the regular season with a road meeting with Kentucky Wesleyan College (8-8, 5-7 Great Midwest) on Tuesday, November 5 at 5:00 PM.

 

Trevecca has won eight consecutive matches against Kentucky Wesleyan including a 3-1 victory at the Trojan Soccer Complex on Sept. 21 this season and lead the all-time series 9-3-1.
