Trevecca's 16 wins tie the most since the 2016-17 team accumulated 16 wins during their 16-13 season. The 2015-16 Trojans produced a 20 win season, finishing 20-12. Â Â

The Trojans take a 4-2 lead in the all-time series and are winners of three of the last four meetings.

THE MATCH
The Trojans gained an early 8-4 lead in the opening set and led by as many as 10 (20-10) before taking the set 25-16. The second set was extended into the 30s with Trevecca winning 35-33. The last set the Trojans played into the 30s was just last season when they fell 30-28 to Findlay on Oct 27, 2018. The Trojans have extended or been extended in seven different matches and in 10 different sets this season. Before tonight's second set win, Trevecca was 1-8 in sets that were extended past 25 points. The third set quickly belonged to the Trojans as they led 6-1 and 9-2 early. The Panthers drew level at 14-14 and even led on a few late occasions (17-15 & 19-18) before the Trojans closed on a 7-1 run to win the set 25-20.

TOP PLAYERS
Austyn Baldwin (SO/Kingston Springs, TN) hit a season-high .846 (11 K, 0 E, 13 TA) with a service ace, dig and six total blocks. Ellie Buffler (FR/Nashville, TN) produced a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs, while Chloee McDaniel (FR/Hendersonville, TN) added a team-high 33 assists, hitting .556 (5 K, 0 E, 9 TA).

THE TEAM
The Trojans out hit the Panthers in every set and by a total of .319 (48/12/113) to ODU's .177 (45/23/124). The Trojans earned the edge in assists 43-41 and service aces 7-6 while the Panthers won the digs battle 52-49.

WHAT'S NEXTÂ
Trevecca finishes the regular 16-16 and 7-5 in conference competition to qualify for the G-MAC tournament for the first time since the 2016-17 season.

The Trojans will likely face Walsh (17-8, 9-2 Great Midwest) on Tuesday in North Canton. The Trojans fell to the Cavaliers during the regular season in four sets on October 4. Walsh holds a 3-1 lead all-time.
