Trevecca Women's Soccer | Findlay Shuts Out Trojans; Home Thursday

FINDLAY, Ohio – The Trevecca Nazarene University women's soccer team (3-5-2, 3-2 Great Midwest) lost 2-0 in a Great Midwest battle at the University of Findlay (6-0-1, 4-0-1 Great Midwest) on Saturday at DeHaven Field.

THE SERIES

The first decision in the series goes to the Oilers who now own a 1-0-2 advantage in the juvenile series.

 

THE MATCH

Sierra Peacock scored both goals in the game, one in each period. The first came in the 28th minute off an assist from Paige Casto. The second goal came in the 48th minute on an assist from Sam Francis.

 

The Oilers produced eight shots compared to Trevecca's six. The Trojans, who have been shutout six times this season, have been shutout in each of their two conference losses.

 

Oiler Nicole Burke saved three shots on goal from the Trojans. Delayna Holman saved two of the four shots on goal from the Oilers.

 

WHAT THE RESULT MEANS

The Oilers are the first team in the conference with four wins while Trevecca is one of five teams with three wins.

 

WHAT'S NEXT 

The Trojans host the next four matches on their slate. First is a Thursday (10.10) meeting with Lake Erie College (4-2-2, 1-2-1 Great Midwest) at 6:00 PM. Two days later it is Ursuline College (2-4-1, 1-3-1 Great Midwest) visiting for a 2:00 PM tilt on Saturday (10.12).

 

The following weekend presents the final two home regular season matches for the Trojans On the Hill. Malone University (6-1, 3-1 Great Midwest) visits on Thursday, October the 17th at 4:30 PM and Saturday (10.19) it is Walsh University (6-2, 3-0 Great Midwest) taking on the Trojans at 2:00 PM.

 

The Trojans are 2-0 versus the Lake Erie Storm all-time. The Arrows of Ursuline and Trevecca have split their 14 meetings equally with the Trojans taking three of the last five. The Arrows have knocked of the Trojans the last two times they have visited Nashville. The Trojans have not lost to Malone with a 3-0-1 record against the Pioneers. Walsh Cavaliers lead the series with Trevecca 3-1.
