on Friday night in Trojan Fieldhouse.

THE SERIES

Trevecca extends their advantage to 6-3 in the all-time series. The Trojans are now winners of four of the last five against the Battlers and have never lost to Alderson Broaddus in Trojan Fieldhouse.

THE MATCH

The Trojans and Battlers exchanged early points and leads in the first set … ABU last led at 8-6 … Trevecca separated late in the set with a 5-0 run led by Madison Martin (SO/Martinsville, IN)'s service … TNU won the first set 25-17 … neither team could gain more than a two point advantage early in the second set … with the match tied 12-12, the Trojans captured three straight points to lead 15-12 … the Battlers took the next point and from there it was all Trojans … a six point run helped the Trojans extend a 15-13 lead to 21-13 … TNU took the second set 25-17 … in the third set the Trojans jumped out to a 6-3 lead … the Battlers closed the 12-7 Trojan lead to 12-9 … leading 20-15 the next five points belonged to the Trojans off Ellie Buffler (FR/Nashville, TN)'s serve… TNU won 25-15.

TOP PLAYER

Austyn Baldwin (SO/Kingston Springs, TN) led the way with a team-high 11 kills .688 (11/0/16) while Hannah Bornemann (SO/Oswego, IL) led in assists with 17. Claire Hindman (SO/Westfield, IN) captured a team-high 14 digs to help the Trojan sweep the Battlers.

The Trojans hit .291 (30 K, 7 E, 79 TA) for the match including a match high .357 in the first.  

WHAT'S NEXT 

The Trojans close the weekend by hosting Ohio Valley University (7-9, 1-4 Great Midwest) tomorrow at 12 PM.

Trevecca has won four of the last five against Ohio Valley and lead 5-3 all-time. The Trojans bested the Fighting Scots in the only meeting last season, a five set match. In fact, the last three matches between the Trojans and Fighting Scots have gone the distance.
