NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University women's soccer team (4-8-2, 4-5 Great Midwest) lost to Walsh University (9-3, 6-1 Great Midwest), 2-0, on Saturday at the Trojan Soccer Complex. It is their final home match of the season.

THE SERIES

The Walsh Cavaliers lead the series with Trevecca 4-1.

THE MATCH

Walsh jumped ahead with a goal off the foot of Olivia Peters at 3:10 for the early 1-0 lead. Brianna Sanborn scored with an assist from Peters at 21:35 for a 2-0 first half lead.

WHAT THE RESULT MEANS

The loss keeps the Trojans on the postseason line. They will have to secure a top-six position playing on the road. Delayna Holman saved two of the four shots on goal for the Trojans. Cav keeper Mickey McClanahan saved both shots on goal by the Trojans.  

WHAT'S NEXT 

The Trojans finish the regular season with four road games, first at Alderson Broaddus University (2-9, 0-8 Great Midwest) on October 26th at Noon.

The final three are a Cedarville University (6-5, 5-2 Great Midwest) on October 31st at 3:30 PM, Ohio Dominican University (7-4, 5-2 Great Midwest) on November 2nd at 11 AM, and Kentucky Wesleyan College (6-6, 4-5 Great Midwest) on November 5th at 5 PM.
