NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University women's soccer team (3-7-2, 3-4 Great Midwest) lost 2-0 to Ursuline College (4-4-1, 3-3-1 Great Midwest) on Saturday at the Trojan Soccer Complex.

THE SERIES

The Arrows of Ursuline moved one game ahead of Trevecca in the series, taking their eighth win in the 15-game series. The Arrows won for the third consecutive time in Nashville.

 

THE MATCH

Trevecca put five shots on goal, but Ursuline put six on goal with two finding the back of the net. Arrow keeper Gina Cerny saved all five attempts by the Trojans and Delayna Holman stopped four … Sarah Mitchell scored the game winner at 11:10 with an assist by Rachel Blumfeldt … Arrow Hannah Pickens put the icing on with an unassisted score at 76:54.

  

WHAT THE RESULT MEANS

Trevecca remains in a tie for fifth place in the G-MAC table with Cedarville through six conference matches.

 

WHAT'S NEXT 

The Trojans are halfway through their four-game homestand, up next are the final two regular-season home matches for the Trojans On the Hill in 2019. Malone University (6-1, 3-1 Great Midwest) visits on Thursday, October the 17th at 4:30 PM and Saturday (10.19) it is Walsh University (8-2, 5-0 Great Midwest) taking on the Trojans at 2:00 PM on Senior Day.

 

The Trojans are 3-0-1 all-time against the Malone Pioneers. The Walsh Cavaliers lead the series with Trevecca 3-1.
