CLEVELAND, Tenn. - The Trevecca Nazarene University softball team lost both games against Lee University in Wednesday's non-conference double header.

GAME CHRONICLE 

GM 1 – Alex Richardson singled up the middle in the top of the third scoring Danielle Tyson for a 1-0 TNU lead … the Flames scored one of their own in the bottom of the frame to tie the game 1-1 … Mary Collins walked with the bases loaded in the top of the fifth to force Danielle Tyson home for a 2-1 Trojan lead … the Flames answered with two in the bottom half for a 3-2 Flame win

GM 2 –  in the top of the first, MaKray Odom reached on a fielder's choice, stole second, and scored on a throwing error by the catcher for a 1-0 Trojan lead … Lee scored one in the second and two in the fifth to give them a 3-1 lead … the Trojans scored one in the top of the seventh, when Kaitlin Crumpler reached on a one-out single, Ali Birchfield pinch ran, with two outs Dallas Richards singled, before Ashton Stowe singled to score Birchfield

 

TEAM STATS BREAKDOWN 

GM 1 – Trevecca had five hits while Lee had eight … both teams played errorless ball ... Trojan pitchers walked one and struck out one, Flame pitchers walked five and had seven strike outs

GM 2 –  Trevecca scattered nine hits while Lee had two hits, but Trevecca committed three errors to the Lee's one ... TNU batters did not draw a walk and went down on strikes three times while the Flames drew three walks and also struck out three times, the Flames did add in two batters reaching on a hit-by-pitch

 

PLAYER STATS REPORT

GM 1 – Ashton Stowe went 2-4 and Danielle Tyson went 1-3 with a walk, a stolen base, and scored two runs ... Savannah Carr (4-4) started and took the loss, Sammie Jo Ivy pitched an inning of perfect ball

GM 2 –  Ashton Stowe went 3-4 with a stolen base and an RBI … MaKray Odom went 2-4 with a run scored and two stolen bases ... Bailey Alexander went 2-3 … Raygn Hall (4-8) started and pitched 4.3 inning while allowing just one earned run on two hits … Morgan Powell pitched 1.2 hitless innings, allowed one runner on a hit-by-pitch

The Trojans continue the road trip heading to Canton, OH to face new conference foe Malone University (7-11-1, 0-4 G-MAC) on Saturday (11 AM) and Sunday (11 AM), both day are adjusted due to weather forecasts for Friday … the Trojans are 3-0 against the Pioneers all-time … Trevecca returns home for what will be the biggest home series to date when Kentucky Wesleyan College (18-12, 3-1 G-MAC) visits on April 5th at 4 PM … Trevecca leads the series with KWC 13-8, but have won 11 of the last 14 meetings and the series and seven of the last eight, including three in a row
