LEBANON, Ill. – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's basketball (1-5, 0-0 G-MAC) handed McKendree University their first loss, 75-58, in the back-end game of a Thanksgiving weekend Home-and-Home series with the Bearcats (3-1, 0-0 GLVC) on Saturday at the Harry M. Statham Sports Center.

SERIES/HISTORY: The two teams have played a home-and-home series each of the last six years now. Neither team has swept the season series and in fact, each team has only won once at home. The first four years each team won on the opponent's home floor. Last year both teams won at home, but the trend returned to the visitor winning this year.

GAME CHRONICLE

Trevecca scored the first 10 points of the game, six from Donavon Henry. Trevecca led until McKendree took a one-point (24-23) lead with 4:50 left in the half and the score was 28-28 at the break. McKendree took their biggest lead of the game with an opening basket to start the second half. Donavon Henry answered with a three to put the Trojans up for good at 31-30. Trevecca kept the pressure on a used a 23-7 run to take a commanding 51-37 lead with 12:31 to go. Trevecca held off a couple of Bearcat threats but eventually won by a comfortable 17 (75-58).

Trevecca hosts Hillsdale College (5-1, 0-0 G-MAC) on Thursday (8 PM) in what will be the first Great Midwest Athletic Conference game of the year for both teams. This is the first-ever meeting between the Trojans and Chargers in men's basketball. The Chargers are in their first year in the G-MAC. Saturday (4 PM), the Trojans welcome the University of Findlay to the Fieldhouse for another G-MAC doubleheader. The Oilers have won both meetings in the series to date.
