NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University volleyball team won 3-0 (17-25, 22-25, 23-25) over visiting Ohio Dominican University (9-19, 3-13 G-MAC) on Friday in Great Midwest play at the Trojan Fieldhouse.

The Trojans celebrated the career of their three seniors – Claire Reinthaler, Miranda Bingham, and Danielle Moll – before the game and then hosted the seniors and their families in a postgame dinner.

Trevecca 3, Ohio Dominican 0

After winning the first set, the Trojans saw ODU take a 12-8 lead in the second set ... an 8-0 run put the Trojans up four (16-12) ... eventually, the Panthers cut it to two (23-21 and 24-22), but the Trojans scored the final point to take the set ... another early ODU lead early in the third challenged the Trojans, but with ODU up 9-6 the Trojans turned the tide with a 7-1 run, eventually owning a 24-18 advantage ... the Panthers scored five straight before a Trevecca kill to end the set and match

TROJAN TEAM TRENDS 

This is the first home win of the season for the Trojans and produced the fourth sweep in their five wins ... as a team, the Trojans hit for .200 with eight service aces

Madison Clements led the team with eight kills while Gracie Pierce collected 17 digs and three service aces ... Jordan Sprinkle hit .636 (7 kills, 0 errors, 11 attempts) ... the Bingham sisters, Macee and Miranda contributed 16 and 11 sets respectively and nine and eight digs   

WHAT'S NEXT

Trevecca's season will come to a close on Saturday when they host Cedarville (16-15, 11-5 G-MAC) at 1 PM in what will be the final regular-season contest for the Trojans.
