PHILIPPI, W. Va. - The Trevecca Nazarene University volleyball team (4-14, 1-8 G-MAC) lost a Great Midwest Athletic Conference game in three sets (17-25, 23-25, 16-25) to Alderson Broaddus University (6-13, 1-7 G-MAC) on Friday in Rex Pyles Arena.

ABU was ahead the whole first set, using a big run at the start of the set, going on a 10-0 run … in the second set TNU had a 22-21 lead when ABU ended the set on a 4-1 run to take the set 25-23 … in the third set with, ABU up 16-12, went on a 6-1 run to widen the gap to 13-22 and take the set and game.

Mary Holmberg led the way for the Trojans with a hitting percentage .267% (6K, 2E, 15TA) … Morgan Swanger added a team-highf eight kills …  Miranda Bingham, Danielle Moll, and Swanger each had 11 digs to lead the team … Macee Bingham had 13 assists …  six Trojans had at least three kills as the team combined for a total of 29.

Trevecca faces conference foe Davis & Elkins College (5-11, 3-5 G-MAC) in Elkins, WV on Saturday, Oct. 7 at 10:00 AM. This will be the sixth meeting between the two teams in the NCAA era. Trevecca is 5-0 against Davis & Elkins.
