Box Score 2 NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Trevecca Nazarene University baseball team (30-19, 19-5 G-MAC) lost a pair of Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) regular season to Kentucky Wesleyan College (34-15, 19-5 G-MAC) on Saturday at Jackson Field. ÂÂ

Trevecca is 8-5 in the NCAA Division II era versus Kentucky Wesleyan. The two wins by the Panthers breaks a six-game win streak in the series for Trevecca.

The Trojans, with the regular season title, earned the top seed at the 2016 G-MAC championships set for May 11-14 at Prasco Park and Legacy Field in Mason, Ohio. Trevecca will play sixth-seeded Davis & Elkins College (13-33, 7-17 G-MAC) on Wednesday, May 11 at 11 AM at Prasco Park. Trevecca swept the season series with four wins at Jackson Field. TNU has a 12-0 edge in the all-time series with D&E.

 Kentucky Wesleyan College opened the game with three in the top of the first.

Trojan lead-off hitter Ethan Harrison (FR/Erlanger, KY) went 4-5 at the plate with two runs scored and an RBI. Harrison had two doubles and now has 10 on the year. Bryson Shelton (JR/Powell, TN) was 2-4 with two doubles, a run scored, and an RBI. Zach Tompkins (SR/Mt. Juliet, TN) was 1-2 with a double, a walk, and two RBI.

Kentucky Wesleyan scored three in the top of the second for a 3-0 lead.

KWC pulled ahead for good with a two-run eighth and tagged on one more run in the ninth for the 6-4 final.

Harrison stayed hot with a 2-4 game, a walk, and a run scored. Tyler Tichenor (SR/Centertown, KY) went 3-5 with a run scored, a double, and a stolen base. Mang was 1-3 with the home run, run scored, a walk, and two RBI.
