Box Score 2 NASHVILLE, Tenn. - In a weekday matchup, the Trevecca softball team (28-14, 12-2 G-MAC) split a double header versus Kentucky Wesleyan College (14-18, 9-3 G-MAC). The Panthers edged the Trojans in game one, 3-2, to put an end to their seven game streak. The Trojans returned the favor in game two with a 9-1 win to end the Panthers eight game streak in five innings.

The Trojans hit the road for two series, first at Ohio Valley University (8-27, 5-9 G-MAC) then at Ursuline College (12-18, 6-8 G-MAC), with another double header in the middle at Kentucky Wesleyan before returning home for the final series of the regular season when they host Alderson Broaddus University (10-20, 4-8 G-MAC) on April 22 and 23.ÂÂ

GAME ONE
Lockwood caused all the trouble for TNU in the top of the first inning with a homer over left center that drove in Daunhauer who singled via the bunt prior. KWC plated another in the second inning to cushion their lead.ÂÂ

Despite two runs brought in by Alex Richardson (JR/Ten Mile, Tenn.) in the fifth for TNU, the Trojans were unable to generate any more runs to take the lead and the Panthers edged it, 3-2.

Haley Fagan (SR/Cornersville, Tenn.) (20-10) put forth her best efforts pitching a complete game with nine strikeouts and without walking a single batter. She let three runs on eight hits in 27 batters faced.ÂÂ

Kat Burbrink (SO/Hamilton, Ohio) had two of Trevecca's three hits, including a double, and one of the two runs. Ansley Brantley (SR/Kite, Ga.) plated the other run and drew two walks.ÂÂ

GAME TWO
The Trojan offense showed up for game two, especially in their six-run fourth inning.

Ansley Brantley worked for the run in the bottom of the first to give TNU an early lead. She started with a single, stole second and advanced to third on the SAC bunt from Tana Whited (FR/Lebanon, TN). Brantley scored on a perfectly placed bunt from Richardson.ÂÂ

A solo home run from Marksbury gave KWC their lone run of the game in the top of the fourth. TNU answered with six in their half of the inning.

Shelby Andrews (SR/Dyersburg, Tenn.) started it off with a single through the middle and came home on a Jordan Griner (SR/Mulberry, Tenn.) double for TNU to take back the lead, 2-1. It was dominoes from there with a slew of singles, including a two RBI single from Whited. Richardson capped it off with a two RBI double to finish the inning, 7-1.

After one a ground out, Fagan found herself in some trouble when she walked two in the top of the fifth and let a hit to load the bases for KWC but she promptly struck out the next two batters to shut it down. Her offense backed her up with two more runs in the bottom of the fifth so her work was done in five.ÂÂ

It was a two RBI double from Kaitlin Crumpler (JR/Smyrna, Tenn.) that sent in the final two runs for Trevecca.

Haley Fagan (21-10) pitched all five innings with four strikeouts. She walked two and let one run on five hits.

Ansley Brantley was 2-for-3 with two runs and added her 30th stolen base of the season. Kaitlin Crumpler was 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run. Tana Whited was 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
