Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Trevecca Nazarene University softball team (39-15, 23-3 G-MAC) swept a Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) double header against Alderson Broaddus University (13-34, 6-21 G-MAC), 7-3 and 19-1 on Saturday and Senior Day at the Trojan Softball Complex.

The Trojans head to the 2016 G-MAC Championships at the Athletes in Action complex in Xenia, Ohio as the regular season champions and top seed. The six-team tournament runs from April 28-30. Trevecca will play in the tournament's first game on Thursday at 9:30 AM on field one. Trevecca's opponent is yet to be determined following Sunday's final regular season G-MAC games. It will be the sixth seed and three teams are still in the mix for that spot. 2016 CHAMPIONSHIP PAGE

The 39 wins are one short of last year's total and the second most since the 2011 team totaled 48. The 23 conference wins are the most since the 2011 team went 29-1 in conference play, the last season for the Trojans in the TranSouth Athletic Conference.

Haley Fagan became the second pitcher in school-history to win 30 games in a season. Brittiany Johnson Tate, who will be inducted into the Trevecca Athletic Hall of Fame on Monday, had three 30-win seasons.

Trevecca, now with its fourth consecutive G-MAC regular season title, are the only team to win the regular season or postseason G-MAC Championship.

Trevecca is now 10-1 all-time versus the Battlers. The Trojans are on a nine game win streak in the series.

Trevecca is 80-8 in official G-MAC regular season and postseason games. During the regular season Trevecca is 69-8 in G-MAC play. At the G-MAC postseason championship, Trevecca is 11-0.

Including non-conference meetings, Trevecca is 84-12 all-time versus the current members of the G-MAC conference. That total includes non-conference and postseason meetings. Here's a breakdown of TNU's record against each of the current G-MAC schools in order of their meetings this season: Salem International (11-0), Davis & Elkins (9-1), Cedarville University (19-1), Kentucky Wesleyan (13-8), Ohio Valley (8-0), Ursuline College (14-1), Alderson Broaddus (10-1).

The four seniors have compiled a four-year record of 144-47 and four consecutive G-MAC regular season titles and three straight G-MAC tournament titles. They were a key ingredient in Trevecca's transition to NCAA Division II play and were apart of the first NCAA regional team, advancing to the region finals last season.

The Trojans were 11-12 after their first 23 games, but have gone 28-3 since. All three losses were by one run and two were in extra innings.
