Box Score JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – The Trevecca Nazarene University baseball team (25-15) won on the road in a non-conference game at Carson-Newman University (26-19), 7-6, in come-from-behind fashion.

The Trojans score four in the top of the ninth. With one out in the ninth Zach Tompkins (SR/Mt. Juliet, TN) singled and Patrick Reed (JR/Murfreesboro, TN) came in to pinch run. Clay Staton (JR/Franklin, TN) doubled and Griffin Ganick (SO/Brentwood, TN) singled to score Reed. With two out Carter Wiseman (SO/Hendersonville, TN) pinch ran for Ganick. Ryan Arington (JR/Cincinnati, OH) kept the line moving and tied the game with a double that scored Staton and Wiseman. Ethan Harrison (FR/Erlanger, KY) followed the eventual game winning hit, a single that scored Arington.

Trevecca and Carson-Newman are now tied 2-2 in the NCAA Division II era.

Overall the Trojans have won seven of their last eight and 17 of their last 20.

Trevecca scored a run in the top of the first without a hit after Ethan Harrison reached on a lead off walk. He stole second and then scored later on a fielders choice.

Carson-Newman tied the game with a run in the second inning.

The Eagles evened things again with a run in their half of the third.

Jesse Peters (FR/Loveland, OH) started for the Trojans and lasted five innings allowing four runs on five hits with three walks and four strikeouts.

Mason Dunn (SR/Goodlettsville, TN) got the win (1-2) for Trevecca despite giving up a run in his one inning of work in the eighth. Christian Lohr (SO/Verona, KY) earned his third save working the ninth, allowing just a hit.

Micah Blount (SR/Birmingham, AL), Griffin Ganick, and Ryan Arington each drove in two runs for the Trojans. Ganick (2-4) and Arington (2-3) each had two hits. Arington scored twice, had a double, and walked.ÂÂ
