NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's basketball team (12-13, 7-3 G-MAC) defeated Davis & Elkins College (10-16, 4-7 G-MAC) 94-87 on Saturday night at the Trojan Fieldhouse in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) matchup.

Trevecca hosts Kentucky State University on Tuesday at 7 PM for the final regular season basketball game at the Trojan Fieldhouse this season. Trevecca is 2-1 versus the Thorobreds, winning the last two meetings in the series including a 102-86 victory on Feb. 9 in Frankfort, Ky.

Trevecca is 4-2 all-time in the series with the D&E Senators.

Trevecca has secured a invitation to the G-MAC postseason championships. Trevecca sealed at least the #3 seed in the tournament. This year's G-MAC champion gains a bid to the NCAA Division II regional.

Trevecca led 41-32 at the half and were outscored by two, 55-53, in the second half for a 94-87 victory.

Trevecca dominated the paint, outscoring the Senators 46-34.

Trevecca opened the game with a 10-0 run. The Senators scored their first points with a Kevin Bracy-Davis jumper at the 16:21 mark of the first half. The Senators tied the game again at 16-16 with 11:18 on the clock. Trevecca rebuilt the lead to 10 on two occasions and led by nine (41-32) at the half.

Trevecca led 45-40 with 18:04 left in the game and rolled off nine unanswered points for a 14-point (54-40) lead with 16:16 left. Trevecca's lead reached a game-high 19 (73-54) with 9:15 to go. With 5:05 to go the TNU lead was just seven (75-68) after a 14-2 run by the Senators. TNU rebuilt the lead to 12 on a couple of occasions, but a 9-1 Senator run cut the Trojan lead to just four (85-81) with 1:29 left. Trevecca scored eight straight and pushed their lead back to 12 (93-81) with 14 seconds remaining. Trevecca settled for a 94-87 win.

Tyrell Corlew (SR/Louisville, KY) led Trevecca with 20 points and was joined in double figure scoring by Christopher Elliott (SR/Spring Hill, TN) (19), Byron Sanford (SR/Louisville, KY) (17), and Matt Gamberoni (SR/Mulhouse, France) (16). Gamberoni added 10 rebounds for a double-double. Sanford added five rebounds and dished out seven assists and had two steals. Corlew added seven rebounds and had two blocks. Corlew hit 7-of-10 from the field and 3-of-5 from three. Elliott hit 6-of-6 from the field and his only three pointer. He was 6-for-9 from the foul line for the game.

Trevecca shot 51.6% (33-64) from the field, 29.4% (5-17) from three point range, and 82.1% (23-28) from the line. Trevecca outrebounded D&E 40-34.
