Box Score ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's basketball team (2-7) dropped a non-conference game against the University of Missouri-St. Louis (6-4, 1-1 GLVC) 78-65 Saturday night at the Mark Twain Building in St. Louis.

The Trojans are 0-2 against the Tritons since the start of the NCAA Division II era.

Trevecca will play in Lebanon, IL next when they take on McKendree University (3-4, 0-2 GLVC) on Saturday in a 7 PM non-conference game. Trevecca leads the series 5-4. The Trojans won the last game of the series earlier in the year, a 74-70 overtime victory at the Trojan Fieldhouse.

The Trojans were down by eight (16-8) with 14:38 to go in the first half when Devin Whitfield (FR/Lipscomb, AL) hit a three followed by back-to-back threes by Percy Blade (SR/Louisville, KY) capping a 9-2 Trojan run pulling the Trojans to within one (18-17) of UMSL with 13:01 to go in the half.

UMSL pulled away with a 10-3 run put the Tritons in control again and up eight (28-20) with 9:12 remaining. UMSL led by as much as 14 (44-30) with 1:55 left in the half, but went to the half up by ten (47-37). UMSL never trailed in the game.

The Trojans shortened the Triton lead to eight twice in half, but could not cut the lead below double digits for most of the half. UMSL outscored TNU 31-28 in the second half for a 78-65 win.

The Tritons outscored the Trojans 40-30 in the paint and 28-15 in bench scoring. Hunter Reine tallied his third double-double of the year with 17 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Tritons. Reine knocked down 8-of-9 field goals, making his first eight, as the Tritons shot 54.7 (29-53) percent from the field and 35% (8-23) from three-point range.

Percy Blade paced the Trojans with 17 points. Donovan Donaldson (SO/Nashville, TN) added 15 points and Devin Whitfield 14. Blade led the Trojans in rebounds with eight and three assists.

Trevecca shot 38.1% (24-63) from the field and 25.9% (7-27) from three-point range. Trevecca shot 90.9% (10-11) from the line while UMSL shot 63.2% (12-19). The Trojans had the edge in steals 10-4.
